Notes

Survival Method was a short-lived Australian crossover/thrash metal act formed in 2015 and active through 2014–2015 before splitting up. Their Reality Blurred EP was released in 2016 (Bandcamp lists 17 July 2016 via Life To Live Records) as a five-track, ~13-minute digital release. The record slots within the band’s Crossover/Thrash Metal style on Metal Archives, with side A opening with “Method of Power” (1:22), “The Cycle Continues” (2:30), and “Total Extinction” (2:48), reflecting a compact, high-tempo approach typical of crossover.

Lineup, studio, and producer details are not published on the canonical Metal Archives pages for the band or the EP [web:1][web:2]. The available metadata emphasizes format (digital), runtime/tracklist, and label (Life To Live Records on Bandcamp) rather than recording location or personnel beyond the band entity itself [web:6]. Stylistically, the EP’s brevity and track titles point to a direct, aggressive crossover sound focused on concise song structures rather than extended arrangements.

Notes

Nifelheim is the self-titled debut full-length by Swedish black/thrash metal band Nifelheim, released in 1995 by Necropolis Records as catalog number NR 007. It was recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg from 8–14 December 1994, produced by Fredrik Nordström and co-produced by the band, then digitally mastered at Armageddon Studios in California.

The recording lineup comprised Hellbutcher on vocals, Tyrant on bass, and Demon on drums, with session guitars performed by Jon Nödtveidt and Jon Zwetsloot. Its sound combines high-speed tremolo riffing, thrash-derived downpicking, abrupt tempo changes, dry blast-beat drumming, and rasped vocals. The guitars retain a coarse, mid-forward texture while the bass remains unusual beneath the dual-guitar arrangements; limited ambience and restrained studio polish preserve the demo-like attack across the album’s eight tracks.

John Zwetsloot recorded almost all of the guitar parts on the album and was credited accordingly, while Jon Nödtveidt handled most of the guitar solos. However, for unknown reasons, he was not credited on the record. According to some accounts, Zwetsloot grew tired of recording guitars during the seventh track, which has led to the belief that "Witchfuck" was recorded with Jon and Tyrant playing guitars.
