Intrepid, a death metal band from Tallinn, Estonia, released the EP Slaying of Sanity/Murder of Mind on January 5, 2023 via Knife Fight Media. The five-track release features two original studio tracks, a cover of “Lifestyle” by Estonian band Aggressor, a short instrumental, and a live recording. Lineup on the EP: Raiko Rajalaane (vocals), Simo Atso (guitar), Villem Eplik (guitar, vocals), Siim Soodla (bass), and Madis Kaljurand (drums). Guest bass on “Mesmerism” by Steve Di Giorgio.

Produced by the band. Drums and bass recorded by Kristo Kotkas at Sinusoid Studios (May 2021); guitars and vocals by Karl-Eric Alert at Audiomaja (November 2021); additional guitars by Simo Atso at Linnahall (May 2022). Mixed by Margus Traumann (May–September 2022); mastered by Minerva Pappi (October 2022). Artwork, design and layout by Fengarm. The material draws from late-1980s/early-1990s American death metal (Death, Morbid Angel, Monstrosity) with tight, mid-tempo riffing, technical leads, and a dry, aggressive production emphasizing clarity in the low end and guitar tone.

Winds of Creation is the debut full-length by Polish technical death metal band Decapitated, released on 17 April 2000 by Wicked World Records, an imprint of Earache Records. The lineup was Wojciech “Sauron” Wąsowicz on vocals, Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka on guitars, Marcin “Martin” Rygiel on bass and Witold “Vitek” Kiełtyka on drums.

Recorded and mixed in April 1999 at Selani Studio in Olsztyn, the album was produced by Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek, engineered by Andy Bomba and mastered by Bartłomiej Kuźniak at Studio 333. Its sound combines tightly synchronized tremolo and palm-muted riffing, abrupt rhythmic transitions, rapid double-bass and blast-beat passages, dissonant chord movement and short groove-based sections. The arrangements are technically dense but retain clearly repeated riffs and defined song structures rather than relying on continuous instrumental display.
