Aseptic, a death metal band from San Jose, California formed in 2014, released the Senses Decay EP in 2018 as a self-release (digital/CD circa December 1). Redefining Darkness Records reissued it on cassette on March 8, 2019. The lineup was the two-piece of Philip Cortez IV (guitars, vocals) and Luis Guardado (drums), with no bass player. Audio was produced, mixed and mastered at Brainsplitter Studios in Oakland, California.

The EP contains four tracks totaling approximately 10:18: Cessation, Disposed Remains, Senses Decay and Never Rest. It delivers raw old-school death metal combining mid-tempo grooves, early Cannibal Corpse-style riffing and up-tempo thrash sections, captured in a putrid, unpolished production.
