Pray is considered a cult-classic, released after the departure of founder Rob Barrett (who joined Cannibal Corpse). The refreshed lineup delivered a technical, groove-infused death/thrash record that stands out for its intense, bass-forward production and rhythmic, atonal guitar work. While slightly less lyrically focused than their debut due to the lineup shift, it is widely regarded as a "lost masterpiece" that aged remarkably well, blending blast beats, heavy grooves, and sharp songwriting without filler.
