Nether Hollow of No Return, the 2021 debut full-length by Thailand's Oldskull, was released May 15th via Inhuman Assault Productions as their first proper full-length after earlier demos and splits. The Nonthaburi/Bangkok-based quartet (part of the Siamese Brutalism collective) delivers nine tracks of raw, mid-paced old school death metal with heavy reverb-drenched vocals, crushing riffs, occasional solos, and shifts into slower death-doom territory. Lineup features Warranat on vocals/lyrics, Saran and Patiwat on guitars, Nocturnal Power (Sattaya) on bass, with AKK66 on drums. Vocals & guitars recorded by the band at Conspiracy Studio (Nonthaburi), bass at Warfare Recording Studio (Bangkok), drums at Rockhouse Studio (Bangkok); mixed by the band at Conspiracy and mastered by Javi Félez at Moontower Studios (Barcelona). It channels the classic Florida sound alongside early Obituary, Autopsy, Grave, Bolt Thrower, and Benediction. Lyrical themes focus on death, darkness, destruction, mysticism, extermination, and psychic suffering. Released digitally plus limited CD (500 copies), 12" LP, and cassette; no bonus tracks or covers. Reception in the underground was positive for its authentic '90s worship and songwriting, with strong marks for memorability and production in reviews.
