Back to Reality (Dead by Dawn Records, 6 March 2021) is the second full-length from Antwerp trio Incinerate — Michael (drums), Matthias (guitar), and Nils (bass/vocals) — recorded, mixed, and mastered at Project Zero Studio. A nine-track, no-concessions death/thrash record situated firmly within the 1988–1991 USDM/crossover paradigm (Demolition Hammer, Malevolent Creation, early Sepultura), it distinguishes itself sonically by maintaining bass audibility in the mix and a vocal timbre that preserves rhythmic clarity over guttural abstraction; lyrically it engages dystopian sociopolitical themes with an Orwellian undercurrent. A painted cover by Jim De Vos and a cassette-exclusive 2015 live track (Erased Earth, Spirit Coffin Publishing, July 2021) round out its release history. Released during the COVID-era live-music shutdown with no chart presence, it circulated entirely within underground death/thrash networks and remains among the more sonically authentic entries in the 2020s Belgian extreme metal underground.
