Ecocide is the debut full-length by Dutch Polluted Inheritance, released in November 1992 on Morbid Music (originally via West Virginia Records). Hailing from Terneuzen, Zeeland, the band delivered technical death metal with the core lineup of Ronald Camonier (vocals, guitars), Erwin Wesdorp (guitars), Menno de Fouw (bass), and Friso van Wijck (drums).
Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Stage 1 Studio in Buhne, Germany, and produced by Andy Classen (with Raymond Tabak). The album blends influences from early Death and Massacre with technical elements akin to Atheist, Cynic, and Pestilence. It features 11 tracks (including the short instrumental title closer) totaling under 39 minutes, with artwork by Danny van Nes. Reissues have appeared on Vic Records in recent years.
