Notes

Zealot Cult released Spiritual Sickness as their debut full-length in late October 2018, with physical editions issued through Blood Harvest Records in collaboration with Helter Skelter Productions. The Irish quartet's lineup consisted of Jay Quigley (vocals, guitars), Mick Carey (guitars), Alan Lee (bass), and Declan Malone (drums).

The album was engineered, recorded and mixed by Ciaran Culhane, mastered by Richard Dowling, and features cover artwork by Paolo Girardi. Musically, Spiritual Sickness combines old-school death metal rooted in the late-1980s and early-1990s Florida scene with tightly structured riffing, frequent tempo changes, melodic lead guitar passages, and occasional doom-inflected sections. The production is clear but dense, emphasizing layered guitar interplay and articulate drumming while retaining the weight and aggression associated with classic death metal recordings.
