Released October 25, 2024 via Century Media Records, A Leap into the Dark is a six-song, 19-minute EP from Richmond, Virginia crossover thrash unit Enforced. Produced and mixed by Arthur Rizk (Blood Incantation, Power Trip, Kreator, Code Orange), the EP captures the band at their most direct and punishing. The three new tracks — "Betting on the End," the title track, and "Deafening Heartbeats" — push further into death metal territory, particularly in the Obituary-style riffing and blast-beat drumming of the title track, while the production emphasizes clarity in the low end and a drum sound that sits more forward in the mix than on previous releases.

The remaining three tracks comprise a 2024 remaster of their 2021 single "Casket" and two covers: Obituary's "Deadly Intentions" (from 1989's Slowly We Rot) and English Dogs' "The Chase Is On." The EP was issued across multiple physical formats including CD, standard black 140g vinyl, and a limited red vinyl variant exclusive to the European market. A 24-bit/48kHz HD audio master is available via Bandcamp.
